How do I find my IP Address?
Windows XP
- Click on your start menu
- Click Run, type "cmd" without the quotes and click OK
- Once you are at the command prompt type "ipconfig" with out the quotes again. Then press enter on your keyboard
- It should output text that looks like this:
- Its possible you have more than one Ethernet adapters or even a wireless network adapter. Please select the one you wish you use by reading the following lines:
- Type these into Node Discovery and click the Start button

Apple OSX
- Click on the Apple Icon on the upper left hand corner of the screen.
- Slick on system Preferences
- Click Network
- If you're connected it will show you your IP Address and Subnet on the right hand section of the window
Linux
- Open a terminal window
- Type "ip addr show" without the quotes
- You'll get an output like this:
- You are looking for this line
- 192.168.0.2 is your IP Address and the /24 is the CIDR notation for Subnet Masks. In CIDR /24 represents 255.255.255.0
- Type those into Node Discovery and click Start
